FIEL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RETURNS TO MEXICO AFTER 33 YEARS
[HOUSTON, TX]On Friday July 21, 2023 at 2:00pm at George Bush International Airport Terminal E Cesar Espinosa Executive Director of FIEL will hold a brief press conference to explain his return to Mexico. This conference will be live on Zoom and Facebook due to parking limitations at IAH
"After 33 years of being in the U.S. I will be traveling back to my home country of Mexico to Bid Farewell to my grandmother who is very ill. I have been waiting for this opportunity for decades and thanks to my DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) I was able to request an Emergency Advance Parole to be able to travel to Mexico. I am very happy and understand this is such a privilege. I encourage all DACA recipients to take this step to be able to go to their home countries since the future of DACA is uncertain. We will keep fighting and for the meantime I will taste what freedom feels like for a few days and be able to reunite with my loved ones. " -Cesar Espinosa FIEL Executive Director
