[HOUSTON, TX] On Friday March 1 at 11am at FIEL Headquarters (6610 Harwin #214 Houston, TX 77036) FIEL spokespeople , community leaders and affected people will gather to offer response to this temporary halt of SB4

“We are happy that a federal judge has given a stay in the implementation of this anti-immigrant law but also understand that this is the first hurdle in a series of legal hurdles these challenges face. We want to caution the community from thinking that all has been won and it is safe to say that the state of texas will appeal this decision wasting more resources and taxpayer money. It is important that we remain steadfast in our effort to educate the community and get them ready for whatever may come. We also remind people that elections matter and if we want to see real change we have to support those who support us, not those who seek to harm us." – Cesar Espinosa FIEL Executive Director
