Family of Deceased Marshall MS Student to be Present at HISD MEETING

[HOUSTON, TX] On Thursday September 12, 2024 at HISD HQ (4400 W18 Street Houston, TX 77092) the Family of Landon Payton, Friends, and supporters will gather to ask for answers in the death of the student.

“We stand in solidarity with the Payton Family. When they approached us a week ago to help them advocate on their case we knew it had to be done. In an area where most students are students of color, this can happen to any one of our kids. We need there to be changes so that tragedies like these can be avoided. We need there to be working EAD machines and the proper personnel who know how to use them." – Cesar Espinosa FIEL Executive Director
