HOUSTON MARCHES FOR IMMIGRANTS RIGHTS’
[HOUSTON, TX] On Sunday February 2 at 3pm at Ervan Chew Park(4502 Dunlavy St, Houston, TX 77006) community members, allies and affected people will gather to speak out for immigrants rights.

From the organizers
: Hi, I’m Amy, an immigrant, First Generation College student product of hard-working immigrant parents who sacrificed their lives for my future. I was born in Michoacán and raised in Miguel Aleman Tamaulipas & immigrated to Texas over 15 years ago due to safety concerns. I’ve been fighting for my legalization since elementary school and after many years and closed doors in September of 2024 I received my work permit. All these experiences have shaped me to become the Strong Independent Loud Mexican Women that I am today. As someone who has lived through the fear, frustration, beauty and compassion of being an immigrant I want to bring awareness and a piece of mine to Who we really are as an immigrant community. I want to show others like me that we have a voice despite what society tells us.
Hi, I’m Natalia, a first generation Mexican American. I come from a culture where hard work and dedication are the foundation of our lives, and my family has always contributed to this country without asking for more than what we’ve given. Raised in Denver Harbor, a Hispanic community that takes care of one another, I’ve become the woman I am today, fueled by the strength of my people. I dream of becoming a nurse to give back to my community and help others face the challenges many immigrants encounter in healthcare. More than anything, I want to inspire my family to speak up for what’s right and never be afraid to let their voices be heard. I stand in solidarity with immigrants who seek a better life and that contribute to this country. Our voices must be heard, not just for us, but for future generations. “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.” – Leviticus 19:34
Hi, I’m Stephanie, a proud Latina, business owner, and activist deeply committed to justice and immigrant rights. As someone who has witnessed firsthand the struggles of immigrant families, I refuse to stay silent while our community faces fear, racial profiling, and unjust deportations. This protest isn’t just about policies—it’s about human lives, dignity, and the right to exist without fear. I stand for the families being torn apart, the children growing up in uncertainty, and the countless immigrants who contribute to this country every day. Houston is home to one of the largest immigrant communities in the U.S., and it’s time we make our voices heard. This is our fight. For justice. For dignity. For change.
Hi, I’m Gigi and I am a proud first-generation college student, the child of immigrant parents who worked tirelessly to give me opportunities they never had. My background has shaped my deep commitment to advocating for human dignity and the right for everyone to feel safe in their communities. As someone who actively speaks out on social media about issues of human decency, I believe in the power of collective voices to create change. Recent policy changes have allowed immigration enforcement to target schools and churches, instilling fear in families like mine. I am standing up because no one should have to live in fear of being separated from their loved ones or losing their sense of security in their own home. Together, we can make sure our voices are heard and fight for a future where safety and dignity are protected for all.
“We stand in solidarity with immigrants across the Houston Area. We know the last few weeks have been very overwhelming but seeing so many people come together willing to support each other fills us with hope. We commend the young organizers for putting this together and we are supporting in making sure this event stays productive and peaceful ." – Cesar Espinosa FIEL Executive Director
