SUSPECT ARRESTED IN THE EMMANUEL MENCHACA CASE
[HOUSTON, TX] On Wednesday August 20 at 4:00pm at FIEL Headquarters (4635 Southwest Freeway #220, Houston, TX 77027) the Menchaca family, supporters, and FIEL spokespeople will gather to make a statement as to the arrest of John Martin Dixon, the suspect accused of Emannuel and Evan Menchaca.
Emmanuel is an 18-year-old young man who had a guinea pig who has passed away. After returning from work on a fateful evening, he wanted to give his pet "Cookie" a proper burial. He decided to bury him in the side of his house when, without provocation, the neighbor shot Emmanuel 3 times in front of his 12 year old brother. We will review the video of the shooting and will hear from Emmanuel’s mom.
"IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH SINCE THE INCIDENT FINALLY AN ARREST! This case is appalling and sad for many reasons but particularly because Emmanuel was shot right outside of his house. After the incident, the family has not wanted to come home and now the family faces physical, emotional, and monetary challenges ahead.
