JOHN MARTIN DIXON FINALLY ARRESTED IN MENCHACA SHOOTING CASE
[HOUSTON, TX] On Tuesday August 26, at 11:00am at the Harris County Criminal Courthouse (1201 Franklin Houston, TX 77002) the Menchaca family, supporters, and FIEL spokespeople will gather to make a statement as to the CONFIRMED arrest of John Martin Dixon, the suspect accused of shooting Emannuel and Evan Menchaca.
Emmanuel is an 18-year-old young man who had a guinea pig who has passed away. After returning from work on a fateful evening, he wanted to give his pet "Cookie" a proper burial. He decided to bury him in the side of his house when, without provocation, the neighbor shot Emmanuel 3 times in front of his 12 year old brother. We will review the video of the shooting and will hear from Emmanuel’s mom.
"IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH SINCE THE INCIDENT FINALLY AN ARREST! It is time to move on to the next phase. This case is appalling and sad for many reasons but particularly because Emmanuel was shot right outside of his house. After the incident, the family has not wanted to come home and now the family faces physical, emotional, and monetary challenges ahead. Emmanuel was doing nothing wrong, yet he is the one most affected by this. We ask the authorities for a complete and competent investigation.
