SYDNEY MARQUEZ HAS BEEN FOUND

[HOUSTON, TX] SYDNEY MARQUEZ HAS BEEN FOUND BUT THERE ARE A FEW CLARIFICATIONS THE FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO MAKE. 1 It has been confirmed that a person from the community recognized Sydney and called the authorities. 2. At some point the authorities did have contact with Sydney but could not take her into custody. 3. She was last seen in the Jones R. and 290 area at around 1am on January 2, 2026. 4.She is now wearing a blue sweatshirt blue sweatpants and a black backpack. The family ask if anyone sees her to contact Jersey Village police and HPD or to reach out on social media. This is a developing story and we will have updates as soon as possible.

"We are happy to know our daughter is alive we are now getting closer to reuniting with her. We will continue to comb the streets and are continuing to comb the streets. We want to thank the community for coming forward with this latest tip."- Luz Marquez

Sydney went missing on Dec 11 at around midnight from Sw Houston. The Marquez family is worried about her recent diagnosis of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and feel as this may be playing a role in her disappearance.

"We are working to gather more details but in the mean time we will wait until the authorities give more information. The family asks for patience as they are dealing with this in real time. We will give an update as soon as one becomes available. . It has been well over a month since Sydney’s disappearance and the Marques Family still has many questions. Like many families we deal with they are desperate for answers and feel as though their please are falling on deaf ears. We want to support them and ask if anyone has seen something please report it to the authorities regardless of immigration status. ."- Cesar Espinosa Executive Director FIEL
