POSSIBLE TERMINATION OF DACA
Another type of storm approaches the immigrant community.
[Houston, TX] On Frdiay August 24, 2017 Axios reported that President Trump could terminate the DACA program very soon. The announcement can be made as soon as TODAY. IF AN ANNOUNCEMENT IS MADE WE WILL HOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE WITHIN THE HOUR AT FIEL HOUSTON (6610 HARWIN #214 HOUSTON, tx 77036). FIEL spokespeople are available for comment.
"We in Texas are preparing for two storms, a physical one called Harvey and an ideological one which is the rescinding of DACA. President Trump has an opportunity to prove real leadership and continue with a program that is benefiting more that 800,000 young people in the U.S.,who by all accounts are Americans or to cave in to the wishes of white supremacists and terminate this program. We at FIEL cannot even begin to talk about all the amazing things DACA recipients have done. They are nurses, teachers, executives, business owners among other things. We need to keep these people who are every day contributing to our society and our economy. Rescinding DACA could deal a devastating blow to the U.S. economy as well as our communities.
