STATEMENT ON DACA HEARING
[Houston, TX] On Wednesday August 8, 2018 Judge Hanen heard arguments on the DACA case pending before federal court. At this time judge Hanen has made no ruling and in fact has asked for additional evidence. FIEL spokespeople are available for comment.
"We are positive in the community’s efforts and the legal team’s efforts to keep DACA alive. We know that this judged has ruled negatively on immigration reform but we hope that he considers the full merits of this case and allows the DACa program to keep functioning as is. We hope that we may have a positive resolved and that in the end we continue to fight for what we really need which is a permanent solution for DREAMers and their families.
