PRESS STATEMENT ON 5th CIRCUIT DACA RULING
[Houston TX.] On Wednesday October 5, 2022 the 5th Circuit Court of appeals released its decision on the DACA Case. They refused to make a ruling on the case and sent it back to a lower court to consider "NEW Guidelines"
"Once again the court system has left DACA recipients in limbo by playing politics. The conservative panel of judges failed to advance the DACA case to the supreme court and instead sent it backward to a court in Texas ruled by conservative Judge Hanen. The fate of DACA may still be the same in the end but now the entirety of the case including President Biden’s ‘new fuels’ on the program. In the end we still need congress and the Presidnets to Exhibit true leadership and make good on their promise to provide a PERMANENT Solution for DREAMers."- Cesar Espinosa Executive Director FIEL
