HOUSTON DEMANDS TRANSPARENCY #JUSTICEFORLORENZO
[HOUSTON, TX] On Tuesday September 29, 2026 at 5:30pm at Houston City Hall (901 Bagby Houston, TX 77002) community members, community leaders will gather to react and demand accountability moving forward in the shooting death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.
"Houston is angry because for the last 83 days we have not had any details about the loss of our community member. We must do better. We must remind all ICE agents that they are not above the law and that they will be held accountable for their actions. This is the first step in the right direction to be able to hold ICE accountable. It is within the public’s right and within the family’s right to know the identity of the shooters. We now await the results of the grand jury. This case must be investigated until the very end, and the people who killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo should be brought to justice.
