NEW YORK JUDGE GIVES RULING ON DACA

[Houston, TX] On Tuesday February 13, 2018 a Federal Judge in New York gave a ruling that the termination of DACA was done arbitrarily and did not allow ample time to allow for an orderly wind down of the program. FIEL Spokes people are available for comment.

"This is a welcomed sign of support for immigrant youth who everyday are in limbo of not knowing that their status will be like from one day to the next. We hope that this furthers the conversation on DACA and that congress will not use this as an excuse to elongate the talks on the DREAM Act. We encourage the immigration negotiations to come to a resolution since we, as undocumented Americans, need permanent solutions for ourselves and our families. " -Cesar Espinosa Executive Director FIEL
