HOUSTON, TX – On Saturday, June 16, local leaders and community members from Houston will commemorate Immigrant Heritage Month (IHM) at an outdoor celebration and art installation at the Discovery Green Conservancy. June is Immigrant Heritage Month, and this event is one of several being held across the country to uplift the meaningful ways immigrants and their descendents have impacted the United States.
Houston locals will gather throughout the day to enjoy an interactive art installation. Participants will be encouraged to affix a flag that represents their ancestry to the art piece to honor their heritage. The day-long event is free and open to the public. More information is available here.
