HOUSTON PRAYER VIGIL FOR DETAINED CHILDREN
[Houston, TX] On Sunday June 17 at 4pm at the corner of Emancipation and Prairie St (in Houston Texas) Community leaders, community member and families will gather to hold a prayer vigil and remind the federal government that children should not be detained.
"We condemn the federal governments actions of separating immigrant children from their parents. The fact that a new children detention center is being opened in the heart of downtown highlights the disheartening fact that more children are beign detained and thus a new center ie merited. We hope to continue to push the President and congress to act so that children will no longer neet to be incarcerated. " – Cesar Espinosa Executive Director FIEL
